Aquatics Director, Dr. Amanda Fitzgerald is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, balance & falls, and aquatics. Her passion for helping patients return to the activities they love inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active with her family, traveling, and reading. A fun fact about Amanda is that she has run a full or half marathon in every state!

Dr. Kelly Matisi is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, pelvic health, and sports. She loves being a clinician because it allows her to connect with her patients and help them get back to doing what they love. She also enjoys helping her patients return to sport.
Dr. Matisi spent almost ten years in the United StatesMarine Corps with three combat tours. She received her Bachelor of Science inExercise Science from Texas Woman’s University and her Doctorate pf PhysicalTherapy from Northwestern University (Chicago). She has her Level 1certification in dry needling and will be getting her Level 1 Pelvic Health Certification this coming September.
While she’s not in the clinic, she loves playing and watching sports (especially the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars),reading, and watching crime shows.


Dr. Molly Douglass is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, concussion management, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, CrossFit, weightlifting. She also specializes in injuries and conditions related to the knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle. Molly is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist who has earned additional certifications in dry needling and Emergency Medical Responder for Athletes. She’s passionate about connecting with her patients and helping them recover from injuries so they can achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.
In her free time, Molly enjoys hiking, weightlifting, skiing, snowboarding, and traveling. You can always find her cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and the Buffalo Bills.

Sara enjoys traveling, cooking, and going to theater. She loves visiting museums, historical sites, and exploring quintessential New England towns. Her favorite sports teams are the New York Rangers. Dr. Sara Linden enjoys spending time with her husband Marc, and cat Roxy.

Dr. Danielle Parent is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, specializing in orthopedics, spine, sports injuries, headaches, vestibular, Parkinson’s Disease, strokes, and balance & falls. She is passionate about working with her patients to achieve their goals and loves watching her patients regain their independence.
In her spare time, you can find her attending New England Revolution soccer games behind the net in the supporter’s section. Her love for the team led her to meet her husband, who is also an avid soccer fan! She is also actively involved with the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Parkinson's Disease Association and has participated in their Rock Steady Boxing program and their Annual Race/Walk/Run for PD.

Dr. John Goodyear is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, powerlifting, and strength sports. He is passionate about helping his patients realize that each day is an opportunity to make something better, no matter how small the improvement may seem. This has inspired him to pursue studies in Spanish, so he can enhance his communication with patients from different cultural backgrounds.
He holds records in the bench press, deadlift, and total when he was the President of the Men’s Powerlifting Team at Northeastern. In addition to his work as a physical therapist, John is the Assistant Coach for this team, where he wants to use a combination of his clinical knowledge and athletic experience to help the team reach its fullest potential.
Originally from New Jersey, John moved to Rhode Island because it combines his love for New England and his desire to be near the ocean. He likes to stay active by lifting weights, swimming, running, doing yoga, and practicing martial arts. In his spare time, he volunteers with AmpSurf, Special Olympics of MA, and the PanMass Challenge.

Dr. Andrew Wynsen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics. He loves educating patients on their conditions and working as a team to empower them to return to a fulfilling life without pain. While in college, his passion for physical therapy led him to become a member of the Planning Committee for the URI Academic Health Collaborative’s “Building a Culture of Health” conference. He also served as a class instructor for URI’s weekly community Parkinson’s Disease exercise class.
When he’s not in the office treating patients, Dr. Wynsen is an active musician and performs live music at venues throughout RI! He also stays active by hiking, running, and playing tennis.

Dr. Sydney Fournier is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics. She may be a familiar face to many patients at our Pawtucket clinic as she was a student with Performance while in PT school! Sydney is passionate about forming close connections with patients while being able to help them return to the activities they love.
When she’s not treating patients, Sydney likes to travel and spend time outdoors. She likes to keep active by hiking and playing volleyball.

His passion is to help his patients improve their quality of life. He is the happiest when he can discharge a patient to live an independent, pain-free lifestyle.
When Jack is not in the clinic, he loves to stay active by hiking and weight training. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, his favorite sports teams are the Baltimore Ravens and Boston Celtics. He also has a passion for cooking, so he is always looking for a fun recipe to try!

Dr. Tayla Foulkrod is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, pelvic health, and women's health. She believes that physical therapy encompasses the whole patient - in mind, body, and spirit - and treats each patient with that goal in mind. She's passionate about finding creative and exciting ways to help her patients recover.
In her free time, Tayla enjoys hiking and is always on the lookout for new coffee shops to try. She has a black belt in American Kenpo and taught cardio kickboxing for 5 years. A former acapella singer, you can usually find her humming her favorite tune in the clinic.

Dr. Erica Manchester is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, soccer, and female athletes. She loves to empower her patients to participate in their own recovery and working as a team to help her patients achieve their goals. While in school, she shadowed in clinics and rehabilitation facilities in Italy and volunteered in weekly balance group exercise classes.
In her free time, Erica loves to bake, play the flute, go to vineyards, and try new restaurants. As a big fan of the US Women’s National Soccer Team and former team member of the Salve Regina University Women’s Soccer Team, she keeps active by running and playing co-ed soccer. She also coaches female athletes in the Narragansett Youth Soccer Association.

Dr. Alison Guliano is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, the spine, and sports-related injuries. After sustaining multiple sports injuries, Alison was inspired to give back to her community by helping others get back to the activities they love most. She is passionate about creating personalized plans to help her patients reach their movement goals. Throughout her career, she has gained certification in trigger point dry needling and has completed the Highbar Orthopedic Residency program.
In her free time, Alison enjoys exploring all the state parks in Rhode Island, going to farmer’s markets, and spending time outside. As a former soccer and softball player, she likes to stay active by hiking and skiing. You can usually catch her watching the Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and USWNT soccer games.

Dr. Patrick Motel is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, the spine, sports-related injuries, headaches, and balance & falls. He is passionate about educating patients on the importance of movement and exercise and how it relates to their overall health. Patrick values his time with patients as he can empower them to care for themselves and problem-solve so they can continue to progress even after they finish physical therapy. He’s earned numerous certifications including dry needling, blood flow restriction training, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and Titleist Performance Level 1.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys hiking the 48 (4,000 ft) mountains in New Hampshire and kayaking in both rivers and oceans. Always accompanied by his dog, Quinn, he loves talking about philosophy and Lord of the Rings, but always wants to learn the latest bit of trivia knowledge. He’s always on the lookout for a new place for good pizza and tacos, so let him know what your favorite spot is!

Dr. Brendan Boyle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, long-distance running, and track & field. He loves to empower patients to find ways to take control of their pain on their own in addition to helping them in the clinic. He is passionate about helping patients understand how their musculoskeletal system works and putting their injuries in a context they can understand. Brendan is also a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who is a faculty member for Highbar's Orthopedic Residency program.
When he’s not treating patients at the clinic, he spends his time running (often in road races), fishing, playing guitar and the bass, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. He also makes time to watch his favorite sports teams – the Patriots, Celtics or Red Sox – play.

Dr. Kayleigh Melroy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, spine, and dance. When she was younger, she sustained a dance-related injury and was able to return to dance after her physical therapy treatment. She loves helping people get back to their hobbies and sports and motivating them to pursue an active lifestyle. She currently serves as a Faculty Member for the Highbar Orthopedic Residency.
Kayleigh is the company physical therapist for Newport’s professional contemporary ballet company, the Island Moving Company. When she’s not helping her patients return to what they love to do, she enjoys skiing and sailing with her husband and taking walks with their dog, Tucker.

Dr. Sarah Goldstein is a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, dance-related conditions and injuries, and the following areas of pediatrics: torticollis, plagiocephaly, scoliosis, club feet, toe walking, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, gross motor and/or developmental delay. She loves working as a physical therapist because she can positively impact someone’s quality of life, whether that be within the home, in recreation, or at work. With her specialty in pediatrics, she loves that she can take the “boring” out of another doctor’s appointment for a child by creating a fun, entertaining, safe, and exciting environment to help the child and family reach their goals.
When Sarah isn’t in the clinic, she likes to spend time with her husband and rescue dog. She also likes to stay active by attending ballet classes, kickboxing, or running outside at a local park.

Dr. Lisa DeCoste is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Highbar. She specializes in women’s health, dry needling, orthopedics, spinal rehabilitation, manual therapy, and TMJ.
Lisa traveled to Croatia with the USA Women’s Sailing team as the team's physical therapist in 2004. She has published in the New England Senior Tennis Foundation magazine. She has received the Humanics Award for leadership from Springfield College and was named one of Providence Business News’ 40 Under Forty Award winners in 2016.
As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Lisa has served the Rhode Island chapter as the secretary and currently serves on the Nominating Committee. Her knowledge and experience bring a wealth of information as a clinical instructor for students.
When she’s not working, she loves to spend her free time on her boat with her daughter, traveling all over the Narragansett Bay.

Dr. Taylor Holt is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and sports-related injuries. She knew she always wanted to work in a job where she could help people every day. Physical therapy was the perfect fit for her, as it allowed her to use her passions of fitness, health, and wellness. Taylor loves her job as a physical therapist because it allows her the opportunity to teach patients that being kind to themselves and their bodies are very important.
While in school, Taylor volunteered with the New York City Marathon in 2017 and 2018 to help individuals with injuries at the finish line. She went to Haiti in 2013 and 2014 to help volunteer in the local schools and help assist individuals in physical recovery from injuries.
Taylor likes to stay active by playing golf and biking on various paths in Rhode Island. She also loves going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
