Highbar in the Community

A living look at where our team shows up across the neighborhoods we serve.

We’re raising the bar in physical therapy, built by physical therapists, for physical therapists. As a teaching practice, we invest in our clinicians and in the communities where they live and work. From local sponsorships and charity events to school programs and on-the-field support for local athletes. The commitment to community runs across all of our affiliated practices:

Highbar at the Hot to Trot 5K

Staff from Highbar Physical Therapy in  Franklin and the soon-to-be-open Highbar Physical Therapy in Milford, MA, had the chance to sponsor, attend, and run the Hot to Trot 5k in Upton, MA, this past weekend, hosted by the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce. Finishers were treated to Highbar orange cooling towels, and our very own Dr. Marcello Panno took 4th and won his age group!

Our First Rising Clinician Summit

PROVIDENCE, RI | Highbar

More than 30 student physical therapists from across the Highbar network came together in Providence for our first Rising Clinician Summit, a full day built around one question: what does it take to thrive in this profession, together?

The day wasn’t about talking shop. Students were asked to sketch their professional identity, challenge how they think about care, and start seeing themselves as part of something bigger than any single clinic.

Thank you to Michelle Collie, PT, MS, DPT, OCS, David Pavao PT, DPT, OCS, and Michelle Fuleky, PT, DPT, OCS for leading with honesty and heart, and to every student who showed up ready to grow.

As a teaching practice, developing great physical therapists isn’t a byproduct of what we do. It’s the point. Care deeply. Create joy.

Rising Clinicians Summit

When the people caring for you are supported, everyone feels it.

PROVIDENCE, RI   |   Highbar

Highbar Physical Therapy was recognized with an Exemplary Award at the 2026 Worksite Health Awards, presented by the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.

The award is for how we take care of our own team. Movement challenges, Special Interest Groups, community events, and the everyday support that makes work a healthier place to be. Most of it started because someone on our team had an idea and decided to make it happen.

It matters more than it might sound. The clinicians who help people move better and feel stronger do their best work when they’re cared for too. A supported team shows up present, focused, and ready for the person in front of them. And the kind of place that invests in its people, gives them room to grow, and trusts them to shape their own culture is the kind of place careers are built and patients are well cared for.

That’s the standard we hold. For the people we treat, and the people who do the treating.

Here’s to raising the bar for what healthy work, and healthy care, can look like.

Advancing the Fight for Fair payment

Last weekend, Yvonne Swanson and Erin Sayles are attending the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Payment Advocacy Summit (Yvonne is a speaker/presenter!) and the House of Delegates (Erin is the chief delegate for RI) in Portland. They are there to collaborate, listen, learn, and advocate for our profession and the patients we serve. HUGE thank you to both!

Physical Therapy U Takes the Field with the Brockton Rox

Brockton, MA | Physical Therapy U

PTU completed preseason performance testing with the Brockton Rox as they prepared for their upcoming season.

Testing was led by Robert Farretta with the aim of gathering baseline performance measures that can help identify areas of strength, potential limitations, and opportunities for continued development throughout the season.

PTU will also be attending the Brockton Rox game on Friday, July 10th, and we are excited to continue supporting the team this season.
