Not passive CE

Most CE gives you exposure. This gives you repetitions.

Two days of high-volume, hands-on practice with real-time faculty feedback, organized around a framework you can actually carry — not a lecture you’ll forget by Wednesday.

These are structured skill immersions, built start to finish for Monday-morning implementation. You are not watching a technique demonstrated once. You are doing it, being corrected, and doing it again until the handling is yours.

What you leave with

01

Faster, clearer treatment decisions based on movement and symptom response

02

Greater precision in manual and exercise execution

03

Purposeful progression and regression strategies you can defend

04

More confident communication of your clinical reasoning

How it works

Model, Reps, Carryover.

Every weekend runs the same three-part structure, regardless of region. It's the reason the skill survives the drive home.

Learn the Model

An evidence-based framework for examination and treatment decisions — taught first, so everything that follows has somewhere to attach.

Deliberate Practice

High-repetition manual handling, exercise execution, and progression logic, with faculty correcting you in the moment rather than after the fact.

Immediate Carryover

Case application and coaching points you can use in clinic right away — worked as cases, not summarized on a final slide.

Taught by

Board-certified orthopedic clinical specialists who are treating patients in Highbar clinics this week.

Choose your lab intensive

Four Regions. Each Its Own Weekend.

Each intensive is a complete, self-contained weekend on one region — no lab is a prerequisite for another. Dates and locations are printed here so the choice is made on this page, not inside a booking form.

Who This Is For — And Who It Isn't

Two days and $449 is a real commitment. It's worth being direct about when this is the right course and when it isn't.

This is built for you if…

The clinicians who get the most out of a weekend intensive

  • You're a PT or student seeking focused regional skill refinement — depth in one area, not a survey of everything.
  • You learn best hands-on and want real-time correction while your hands are still on the patient.
  • You want to improve movement analysis and coaching — how you see a task and how you cue it.
  • You already have foundational orthopedic assessment skills and want to sharpen them rather than build them.

This isn't for you if…

We'd rather tell you now than at 8am on a Saturday

  • You're looking for fringe techniques without real-world carryover. This is built around what you'll actually use with patients.
  • You want a lecture-format weekend you can absorb passively. You'll be on your feet and hands-on for most of both days.

Not sure this is the right fit? A half-day Core-4 lab is a lower-commitment starting point, and the 8-week regional certification goes considerably deeper than one weekend can.

What you'll work on

Sixteen Hours You'll Use on Monday

Every intensive is organized around a single region, with the same emphasis on clinical reasoning, psychomotor skill, and progression logic.

  • Region-specific orthopedic examination and clinical reasoning

  • Manual therapy skill refinement with scope-conscious application

  • Exercise prescription and progression for the selected region

  • Treatment modification based on patient response

  • Communication, education, and shared decision-making

  • Case-based integration of manual therapy, exercise, and patient education

How the weekend runs

Day 1 — the model and the hands: framework first, then high-repetition manual handling and exercise execution

Day 2 — complex cases: case-based reasoning labs where the framework gets stress-tested

Real-time faculty feedback throughout, while your hands are still on the patient

Two full days together — more time per topic than any short-format lab allows

16 APTA-approved contact hours

I highly recommend Highbar’s Lumbopelvic course if you want to level up your clinical reasoning and orthopedic practice. It’s not just a lecture; the case-based applications make the material easy to digest and even easier to immediate implement with patients.

Weekend Intensives Are Free for Highbar Clinicians

Every program in the Education Hub. No exceptions.

Weekend Intensives sit partway along a pathway that runs from a $99 afternoon lab all the way to an accredited orthopedic residency, and every step of it is covered for our own clinicians. If you’re on the team, you register with your employee code and pay nothing — for this weekend, and for everything above it.

Not on the team yet? We’re a teaching practice, and this is what that looks like from the inside.

What a Highbar clinician gets

01

Every Weekend Intensive, free — all four regions, via your employee code

02

24 structured mentorship hours in your first twelve weeks, with a named mentor

03

One-on-one care, every patient, every session — no double-booking

04

A 100% residency board-pass record if you keep going up the pathway

Also consider

One Rung Down, or Three Rungs Up

A weekend is a deliberate middle step. If it's more commitment than you want, or less depth than you need, these are the alternatives.

Give It a Weekend

Two days of repetitions, correction, and cases — and a region you'll treat differently on Monday.
