Sanghamitra Nayak is a dedicated Physical Therapist at Highbar Sudbury who brings a global perspective, clinical expertise, and compassionate care to every patient interaction. With a strong focus in orthopedics, spine and back pain, and women’s pelvic health, she is passionate about helping individuals move confidently and return to the activities that bring meaning to their lives.

Sanghamitra earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPTH) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore, India, and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Her diverse educational background informs her holistic and culturally responsive approach to care.

She has completed Dry Needling Level I training and Pelvic Health Level I certification through Herman & Wallace, strengthening her ability to support women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, and return to running. She has a special interest in working with female runners, blending strength, mobility, and movement education to promote long-term performance and injury prevention.

Sanghamitra believes in empowering patients through education—helping them understand their bodies, build resilience, and take an active role in their recovery journey.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys running, hiking, and reading historical fiction. She’s an avid sports fan who enjoys watching tennis, soccer, and cricket. She also speaks Hindi and Oriya, allowing her to connect with a broader patient community.
