Meet Dr. Stephanie Rapp, a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist with a strong commitment to helping her patients regain confidence and return to the activities they love. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Quinnipiac University.
With a focus on orthopedics, sports injuries, pediatrics, and more, she finds immense joy in empowering her patients, especially children, to thrive in their movement and daily lives.
Outside of her work, Stephanie enjoys skiing, reading, and staying active through beach walks and volleyball. Her deep empathy and expertise drive her to help patients overcome challenges and discover their potential.

Dr. Jeremy Kuznitz is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. His passion is to provide his patients with the tools to help them take their power back, heal their bodies, and improve their function. He believes that there is nothing more rewarding than watching his patient achieve a goal that they never imagined possible.
In his free time, Jeremy enjoys watching sports and cheering on the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. He also loves hiking, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Sydney Fournier is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics. She may be a familiar face to many patients at our Atteboro, MA clinic as she was a student with Performance while in PT school! Sydney is passionate about forming close connections with patients while being able to help them return to the activities they love.

Dr. Brendan Boyle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, long-distance running, and track & field. He loves to empower patients to find ways to take control of their pain on their own in addition to helping them in the clinic. He is passionate about helping patients understand how their musculoskeletal system works and putting their injuries in a context they can understand. Brendan is also a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who is a faculty member for Highbar's Orthopedic Residency program.
When he’s not treating patients at the clinic, he spends his time running (often in road races), fishing, playing guitar and the bass, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. He also makes time to watch his favorite sports teams – the Patriots, Celtics or Red Sox – play.

Dr. Hilary Bicknell is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. Her passion is helping people find relief from pain or limitation to get them back to the activities they love. Natalie Briggs, PT, DPT, PSP is a physical therapist at Highbar Physical Therapy’s Middletown clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both from Seton Hall University. Natalie is also certified as a Primary Spine Practitioner through the University of Pittsburgh and is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS).
Specializing in orthopedics and spine care, Natalie is passionate about helping her patients reach their goals. She enjoys learning each patient’s story, uncovering their motivation, and creating a personalized plan to guide them back to optimal health.

Dr. Bryan Raksnis PT, DPT, MDT is a dedicated physical therapist working in our Middletown clinic. With specialties in orthopedics, headaches, sports injuries, spine, and extremity injuries, Bryan brings a wealth of expertise to his patients. He holds a Bachelor of Science (2017) and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England and is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), being one of only four certified practitioners in Rhode Island.
Bryan is an active member of the McKenzie Institute International and APTA. He is passionate about helping individuals return to their best selves and educating them on the body’s mechanics. His research has been published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and he has spoken at APTA events.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys surfing, snowboarding, sailing, and exploring the great outdoors.

Amanda Moran ATC, LMT is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with East Providence High School and our East Providence clinic. During high school, she fractured her ankle playing softball. This piqued her interest in the field of rehabilitation, which led her to a career in athletic training. She loves helping athletes go from a very low point to then regaining their strength and returning back to their sport.
Amanda also helped the East Providence High School receive the 1st team Safe School Sport award (May 2016-2019). Most recently, she completed the Highbar Lead the Way program.
In her free time, Amanda likes cooking new recipes, reading, and biking. For over 10 years she has participated in the MS 150 Bike Ride, raising money for multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Brian Hay PT, DPT, MS, OCS is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in manual therapy, dry needling, running and gait analysis, sports rehabilitation, youth athlete injury prevention, orthopedics, injury prevention/rehabilitation in runners, and biomechanical analysis. He also serves as a Regional Director.
An avid runner himself, Brian developed the Highbar Running Academy to help fellow therapists learn to best treat the needs of the running athlete. He is also a Certified Executive Coach and uses his experience to help develop emerging leaders at Highbar through the Lead the Way program and as a Clinical Instructor for Brown University medical students. He's also traveled to Honduras to provide physical therapy services to communities in rural Honduras with the Brown University Branch of Shoulder-to-Shoulder, Inc., an organization that works collaboratively to create and operate sustainable and accessible health, nutrition, and education services in that region.
In his free time, Brian loves spending time with his wife and two boys. He likes to keep active by running long distance, playing golf, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Molly McCausland is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. After a high school basketball injury required her to seek out physical therapy, she decided she wanted to pursue a career where she could help people and build relationships with patients.
Molly volunteers with START All Sports Adaptive Camp and Humanics in Action.
When she’s not in the clinic, Molly likes to spend time with her friends, especially if it’s outdoors. She also loves New England sports teams, so you can usually find her watching whichever game is on that day!

Dr. Kathleen Rafanelli is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. She loves being a clinician because it allows her to promote and encourage her patients to live a healthier lifestyle so they can experience the positive effects of exercise on their mental, physical, and social health. She also enjoys helping her patients regain function in their daily activities by reducing their pain and increasing their range of motion.
She loves traveling and has been to many places around the world, including Vellore India where she worked with physical therapists at the Christian Medical College to learn about cultural norms and observe similarities and differences across the profession. Her first clinical rotation was at the VA in Providence and a unique, 5-month clinical rotation at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. While working on the base, she practiced in an environment where she was able to rehabilitate active duty military members as they train at their duty stations and prepare for their deployment.
While she’s not in the clinic, she loves to stay active by hiking, playing pickup basketball with friends, and going to the gym. She loves spending time with her dog, Nelli, and watching the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins.

Clinic Director Dr. Jordan Madigan is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, spine, sports-related injuries, and headaches. He is passionate about showing patients their true potential, whether it is recovering from an injury or illness or through technique/performance adjustments. Growing up in a small rural town, Jordan was involved in every sport and activity he could find, mostly basketball and Australian Rules Football. After attending physical therapy for multiple minor sports injuries, Jordan began to develop a good relationship with the physical therapists who treated him. His physical therapists showed such a passion for patient care. Over time, they inspired him to pursue an education in physiotherapy, shaping him into the physical therapist he is today.
Originally from Australia, Jordan loves to stay active by playing Australian Rules Football for Boston, taking his rescue dog hiking, and playing pickup basketball with his friends. He also loves visiting breweries in Rhode Island and playing golf.

Highbar's Compliance Officer Dr. Yvonne Swanson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She specializes in orthopedics, sports injuries, back and neck pain, manual therapy, headaches, TMJ, foot and ankle biomechanics, and trigger point dry needling.
Yvonne serves as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students and is an advisor and educator to local athletes and coaches. She has presented on professionalism for the University of Rhode Island doctoral program and has been a guest lecturer for the RI National Guard Retiree Association. Yvonne serves as the Chair of the Payment Committee for the RI Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and also serves as a member of APTA's National Private Practice Sections Policy and Payment Committee.
When Yvonne isn't treating patients or troubleshooting clinical and compliance challenges, she enjoys spending time with her 3 boys, gardening, jogging, snowboarding, and basically anything outdoors!

Erin Botelho MSPT, OCS, is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and physical therapist who specializes in orthopedics, women’s health, shoulder injuries, and knee injuries. Her passion is learning about each patient and their experiences, fears, and successes in order to help them reach their goals. She believes that treating the injury may help the pain but treating the person will allow them to get back to their lives and the activities they love.
When she’s not treating patients or shuttling her children from dance rehearsals and sports practices, she loves spending time in the quiet outdoors and eating good food. She and her family love to escape their busy schedules by visiting Cape Cod and soaking up the salty air to re-energize. Clinic Director Dr. Leanne Monteiro PT, DPT, OCS, CMTPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and women’s health. She became a physical therapist because she wanted to help people return to what they love to do, whether that be competitive sports, recreational activities, or getting back to work.
Leanne is fluent in Portuguese and has clinical expertise in orthopedics, post-surgical and women's health, including incontinence and pelvic pain.

Dr. Rachel DeBlois is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, vestibular, and balance & falls. She is passionate about taking someone from a painful or limited place to being able to live a healthy, unlimited, and pain-free life.
While she’s not treating patients in the clinic, Rachel loves to dance, cook, and bake. She has recently started cycling and is working towards her goal of riding 100 miles with the NE Parkinson’s Ride. She is also a New England/Boston sports fan!

Dr. James Picard is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. He is passionate about helping his patients get back in control of their health.
In his free time, James enjoys hiking, traveling, chess, and watching the Boston Celtics. He also loves to play pickup soccer and support the Barcelona FC team. You can also find him spending time with his two dogs, Leo and Indiana.

Dr. Mara Hochman is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics as well as spinal and shoulder-related injuries or conditions. She is passionate about helping her patients get back to the activities they love to do while instilling a love of exercise along the way. She completed the Memorial Hermann Orthopedic Residency, where she was also a faculty member, and has earned certification in trigger point dry needling. Mara now serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Highbar Orthopedic Residency program.
In her free time, Mara enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog. She has lived all over the country, from growing up in California to living in Texas, and now in Rhode Island.

Dr. Dylan Forrester is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and sports-related injuries. His passion is making meaningful improvements in the lives of his patients through education, hands-on adjustments, and exercise. He loves being a part of a patient’s journey to get back to what they enjoy doing and watching the progress they make along the way.
In his free time, Dylan enjoys being outside, whether that be hiking or going to the beach. As an avid New England sports fan, you can typically find him cheering on his favorite teams, the Celtics and Patriots. He is kept busy at home with his dog named Honey and two tuxedo cats named Sylvester and Brooke.

Brielle Albertini, PT, DPT, is a dedicated physical therapist and clinic director with a passion for guiding her patients through their rehabilitation journey. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Springfield College, along with certifications in Dry Needling and LSVT BIG. Brielle specializes in outpatient care, where she forms strong connections with her patients, celebrating their achievements every step of the way. Beyond her practice, she finds joy in beachside relaxation, traveling, staying active, and exploring new culinary experiences. Now back in Massachusetts, she's excited to continue her impactful work in the community.

Meet A, a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Villanova University (2007), who excels in reconnecting patients with their bodies post-injury. Their passion lies in witnessing patients regain strength and flexibility, fostering a sense of accomplishment. A’s commitment to holistic healing is evident through their Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Level 1 certification (2022) and recognition as the 2022 Outstanding Student PTA Award winner by the APTA.
Beyond the clinic, A, a non-binary individual using they/them pronouns, contributes to team diversity. Their interests range from being a Providence Roller Derby member since 2011 to holding a PADI Rescue Diver certification. Erwin's dedication extends to community involvement, volunteering at The Steel Yard to learn welding and blacksmithing. A comedy enthusiast and avid Providence Bruins season ticket holder, Erwin's diverse experiences and skills enrich our healthcare team, ensuring a compassionate and well-rounded approach to patient care.


Rebecca is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at the Middletown clinic, with specialties in orthopedics, sports injuries, and pediatrics. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Roger Williams University (2019) and earned her PTA degree from Bay State College in 2021. Rebecca is currently pursuing her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and is a proud member of the Rhode Island APTA.
Rebecca loves being a PTA because it allows her to help people achieve their goals, find joy in movement, and improve their quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys running, strength training, and reading. A dedicated Dolphins fan, she brings her passion for health and fitness into all aspects of her life.

Dr. Jay Knoerlein earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2023. He specializes in orthopedics, sports injuries, and spine care. Dr. Knoerlein is passionate about empowering patients to use their own bodies to improve function and enhance their quality of life. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Knoerlein is an avid sports enthusiast. Having grown up playing competitive soccer and basketball, he remains a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Boston Celtics.
