Dr. Leah Katsos is a Clinic Director and Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics and women's pelvic health. She is passionate about empowering her patients to seek their fullest potential without limitation by physical, mental, or emotional ailments.
Leah directed a health and wellness program that focused on nutrition, exercise, and mental resiliency to high-risk teens in New York City from 2012-2014, utilizing a holistic approach to health. She went on to spend the next 5 years working in outpatient physical therapy as an Exercise Specialist and in administration from 2014-2019. These experiences led to her clinical expertise in orthopedics and pelvic health.
She likes to keep active by hiking, biking, and practicing yoga. You might find her pulling up to the clinic on her bicycle when the weather permits it. She also loves to play the piano!

Dr. Erin Craig is a physical therapist serving the South Kingstown and Westerly communities, where she brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to both orthopedic and pelvic health care. Erin is deeply committed to creating a safe, welcoming space—especially for individuals navigating women’s health concerns that often go unaddressed. She values meeting each person exactly where they are and helping them build the strength, confidence, and clarity they need to move forward.
Erin earned her B.S. in Allied Health Sciences from the University of Connecticut (2021) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (2025). She also holds a Pelvic Floor Level 1 Certification through Herman & Wallace (2024), strengthening her ability to support patients through highly individualized and sensitive stages of their health journey. Erin has contributed to research for the APTA Pediatrics division, reflecting her growing interest in advancing evidence-based care across diverse patient populations.
As a member of the Massachusetts APTA, Erin is committed to lifelong learning and to elevating the standard of care within the profession. Born and raised in southeastern Connecticut, Erin has always felt connected to the Rhode Island shoreline. Outside the clinic, she enjoys yoga, reading, exploring new hiking spots, and discovering local coffee shops—always open to recommendations for both good trails and good books.

Dr. Molly McCausland is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. After a high school basketball injury required her to seek out physical therapy, she decided she wanted to pursue a career where she could help people and build relationships with patients.
Molly volunteers with START All Sports Adaptive Camp and Humanics in Action.
When she’s not in the clinic, Molly likes to spend time with her friends, especially if it’s outdoors. She also loves New England sports teams, so you can usually find her watching whichever game is on that day!

Lynn Johnson is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, running injuries and conditions, and injuries of the knee, hip, ankle, and foot. She’s passionate about helping her patients achieve their goals and getting athletes back to playing their sport. Lynn values the relationships she’s built with patients over the 20+ years she’s been working as a physical therapist.
A seasoned runner, Lynn has been inducted into the Holy Cross Hall of Fame for her athletic and academic accomplishments. She’s run over 20 marathons including the Boston Marathon multiple times. When she’s not running with the Wampanoag Running Club or training for her next marathon, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time outdoors. She resides in North Attleboro, MA with her husband Steve, daughter Sarah, and a black lab named Nauset.

Hannah Martin is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Highbar Physical Therapy’s East Providence clinic. She earned her Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistance from Central Penn College in 2019 and specializes in supporting pelvic health and pregnancy. Hannah is a member of the Rhode Island American Physical Therapy Association (RIAPTA).
Hannah is passionate about helping patients improve their daily lives. She finds learning about the body and its changes through injury and recovery fascinating, and she particularly enjoys supporting women in need of pelvic floor therapy and athletes eager to return to their sport. Outside of work, Hannah is a self-described foodie who loves cooking, trying new restaurants, and weightlifting. Meet Camden Marcotte, PT, DPT, NCS, OCS, a Doctor of Physical Therapy known for his commitment to guiding individuals through their rehabilitation journeys. Holding a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from MCPHS University, Marcotte boasts dual certifications in Neurologic and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. His diverse expertise includes certifications as a Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation provider, an ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist, and proficiency in whole-body dry needling. As a clinical instructor, he has mentored five Physical Therapy students, emphasizing his dedication to education and mentorship. Marcotte derives great fulfillment from contributing to patients' recovery stories, whether it involves post-stroke mobility or returning to sports and daily activities after surgery.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Camden Marcotte is a multilingual individual currently learning Portuguese and Spanish. He balances his commitment to patient care with personal interests, engaging in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, spending quality time with his family, and exploring his creativity through photography. Marcotte's holistic approach to rehabilitation, combined with his passion for continuous learning and mentorship, defines him as a compassionate and skilled practitioner in the field of Physical Therapy.


Dr. Molly Douglass is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, concussion management, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, CrossFit, weightlifting. She also specializes in injuries and conditions related to the knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle. Molly is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist who has earned additional certifications in dry needling and Emergency Medical Responder for Athletes. She’s passionate about connecting with her patients and helping them recover from injuries so they can achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.

Dr. Lisa DeCoste is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Highbar. She specializes in women’s health, dry needling, orthopedics, spinal rehabilitation, manual therapy, and TMJ.
Lisa traveled to Croatia with the USA Women’s Sailing team as the team's physical therapist in 2004. She has published in the New England Senior Tennis Foundation magazine. She has received the Humanics Award for leadership from Springfield College and was named one of Providence Business News’ 40 Under Forty Award winners in 2016.
As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Lisa has served the Rhode Island chapter as the secretary and currently serves on the Nominating Committee. Her knowledge and experience bring a wealth of information as a clinical instructor for students.
When she’s not working, she loves to spend her free time on her boat with her daughter, traveling all over the Narragansett Bay.

Director of Pediatrics, Dr. Sarah Goldstein, is a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in pediatric physical therapy care and orthopedics. Her diagnoses of expertise include torticollis, plagiocephaly, cerebral palsy, scoliosis, gross motor delay, and developmental delay. She has been caring for pediatric patients since graduating in 2017 and refers to them all as "her kids".
She loves working as a physical therapist because she can positively impact someone’s quality of life, whether that be within the home, in recreation, or at work. Dr. Sarah participated in ballet her whole life, retiring finally in 2023, and loves to work with the dance population to ensure safety with participation and show-readiness. With her specialty in pediatrics, she loves that she can take the “boring” out of another doctor’s appointment for a child by creating a fun, entertaining, safe, and exciting environment to help the child and family reach their goals.

As a physical therapist, Dr. Tom Pesci brings a passion for education, movement, and patient empowerment to every session. With a strong background in orthopedics, sports injuries, and spine care, Tom specializes in helping patients return to the activities they love, stronger, more confident, and with a deeper understanding of their bodies.
Tom earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island before completing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marist College, where he also served as a teaching assistant in cadaver labs throughout his graduate training. His clinical interests include the knee, hip, and lumbar spine, with focused expertise in ACL rehabilitation and hip labral pathologies. He holds certifications in Dry Needling (Highbar, 2024) and as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (2020), allowing him to integrate strength, performance, and evidence-based manual therapy into his treatment approach.
A proud member of the APTA, Tom loves physical therapy because it allows him to educate patients, promote lasting lifestyle change, and guide people back to the activities that bring them joy. Meet A, a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Villanova University (2007), who excels in reconnecting patients with their bodies post-injury. Their passion lies in witnessing patients regain strength and flexibility, fostering a sense of accomplishment. A’s commitment to holistic healing is evident through their Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Level 1 certification (2022) and recognition as the 2022 Outstanding Student PTA Award winner by the APTA.
Beyond the clinic, A, a non-binary individual using they/them pronouns, contributes to team diversity. Their interests range from being a Providence Roller Derby member since 2011 to holding a PADI Rescue Diver certification. Erwin's dedication extends to community involvement, volunteering at The Steel Yard to learn welding and blacksmithing. A comedy enthusiast and avid Providence Bruins season ticket holder, Erwin's diverse experiences and skills enrich our healthcare team, ensuring a compassionate and well-rounded approach to patient care.

Dr. Kathleen Rafanelli is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics. She loves being a clinician because it allows her to promote and encourage her patients to live a healthier lifestyle so they can experience the positive effects of exercise on their mental, physical, and social health. She also enjoys helping her patients regain function in their daily activities by reducing their pain and increasing their range of motion.
She loves traveling and has been to many places around the world, including Vellore India where she worked with physical therapists at the Christian Medical College to learn about cultural norms and observe similarities and differences across the profession. Her first clinical rotation was at the VA in Providence and a unique, 5-month clinical rotation at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. While working on the base, she practiced in an environment where she was able to rehabilitate active duty military members as they train at their duty stations and prepare for their deployment.

Dr. Calin Butler is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Clinic Director of our Cranston, RI clinic, who specializes in orthopedics, sports injuries, vestibular rehabilitation, and treating conditions related to the spine, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2023 and is certified in Dry Needling, Titleist Performance Institute, and AQuire IASTM. Calin is driven by a passion for helping individuals overcome obstacles, regain their strength, and achieve their goals, with a focus on enabling them to return to the activities they love, pain-free and stronger.
Outside of his clinical work, he serves as the Boys Director and Coach for Blast Volleyball in Rhode Island and also coaches boys' volleyball at La Salle Academy in Providence. A committed Boston sports fan, Calin enjoys competing in Spartan Races, playing video games, and staying active at the gym. Julianne Harp is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant at Highbar Physical Therapy's Richmond clinic. She holds an Associate Degree from the New England Institute of Technology. Dr. Ethan Barker is a physical therapist at Highbar South Kingstown with a strong foundation in orthopedics, sports injuries, and spine care. Ethan believes in the power of movement to restore confidence, independence, and joy—especially when patients regain the everyday activities they once took for granted. That moment of return, he says, is what makes his work meaningful.
Ethan earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Springfield College, where he also minored in Spanish. During his time there, he contributed to research supporting older adults by serving as an instructor for Stay Active for Independent Living (SAIL) and Tai Ji Quan: Movement for Better Balance (TJQMBB)—two evidence-based programs evaluated for their effectiveness in reducing falls.
With Dry Needling Level I certification, Ethan blends manual therapy, strength-based training, and patient education to create personalized, practical treatment plans. He is passionate about helping people return to the routines, hobbies, and movements that shape daily life.
Outside the clinic, Ethan brings a spirit of exploration and adventure to everything he does. He played Ultimate Frisbee competitively throughout college, traveling to tournaments from Maine to Myrtle Beach. He’s an avid traveler, hiker, and weightlifter—and has already visited 10 national parks. He also enjoys sharpening his Spanish language skills and connecting with others through movement and community.


Dr. Bryan Raksnis PT, DPT, MDT is a dedicated physical therapist working in our Middletown clinic. With specialties in orthopedics, headaches, sports injuries, spine, and extremity injuries, Bryan brings a wealth of expertise to his patients. He holds a Bachelor of Science (2017) and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England and is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), being one of only four certified practitioners in Rhode Island.
Bryan is an active member of the McKenzie Institute International and APTA. He is passionate about helping individuals return to their best selves and educating them on the body’s mechanics. His research has been published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and he has spoken at APTA events.

Dr. Milad Kinsey, PT, DPT (he/him) is a physical therapist at Highbar Physical Therapy’s Woonsocket clinic, specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and spine care. He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from MCPHS (2023) and a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2020).
Dr. Kinsey is certified in Dry Needling Level 1 and is a member of the APTA. He is passionate about helping patients regain optimal function, whether returning to sports or daily activities without pain.

Dr. Kara Chace is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, sports-related injuries, women’s health, concussions, dry needling, and balance & falls. She also serves as a Regional Director for Highbar. Kara loves meeting new people and helping them to reach their goals, whether that be to get back to work or enjoy life pain-free. Throughout her career, she has gained certifications in functional dry needling and hippotherapy, which is the use of horseback riding as a therapeutic or rehabilitative treatment, especially as a means of improving coordination, balance, and strength.
She has previously volunteered at Greenlock Therapeutic Riding and is actively involved in community programs that support our youth including K-Rob and the RI Special Olympics. Dr. Chace also volunteers as a project advisor at Barrington High School and North Smithfield High School.
When she’s not in the clinic, Kara likes to spend time with her family and go to sporting and concert events. She keeps active by hiking, skiing, swimming, playing soccer, and biking.

Dr. Hargun Khanna, PT, DPT is a skilled physical therapist at Highbar’s Pawtucket clinic, specializing in orthopedics and treating balance issues, as well as injuries to the low back, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UMass Amherst in 2018 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2023. Dr. Khanna is a member of the Massachusetts APTA and was honored with the Mary Mankin Clinical Scholar Award in 2023. Her research includes co-authoring a comprehensive meta-analysis on cardiac rehabilitation in people with heart failure.

Nicole Tomaz is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Highbar South Kingstown who brings patience, compassion, and encouragement to every stage of the rehabilitation journey. With a focus in orthopedics, spine care, geriatrics, and postpartum rehabilitation, Nicole is dedicated to helping patients regain their quality of life and develop the confidence to return to the activities they love most.
Nicole earned her associate’s degree from the New England Institute of Technology and has continued to expand her clinical expertise through advanced training, including Pelvic Floor Level 1 Certification through Herman & Wallace. She is an active member of RIAPTA, staying connected to the broader PT community and committed to ongoing professional growth.

Dr. Brian Hay PT, DPT, MS, OCS is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in manual therapy, dry needling, running and gait analysis, sports rehabilitation, youth athlete injury prevention, orthopedics, injury prevention/rehabilitation in runners, and biomechanical analysis. He also serves as a Regional Director.
An avid runner himself, Brian developed the Highbar Running Academy to help fellow therapists learn to best treat the needs of the running athlete. He is also a Certified Executive Coach and uses his experience to help develop emerging leaders at Highbar through the Lead the Way program and as a Clinical Instructor for Brown University medical students. He's also traveled to Honduras to provide physical therapy services to communities in rural Honduras with the Brown University Branch of Shoulder-to-Shoulder, Inc., an organization that works collaboratively to create and operate sustainable and accessible health, nutrition, and education services in that region.

He is passionate about showing patients their true potential, whether it is recovering from an injury or illness or through technique/performance adjustments. Growing up in a small rural town, Jordan was involved in every sport and activity he could find, mostly basketball and Australian Rules Football. After attending physical therapy for multiple minor sports injuries, Jordan began to develop a good relationship with the physical therapists who treated him. His physical therapists showed such a passion for patient care. Over time, they inspired him to pursue an education in physiotherapy, shaping him into the physical therapist he is today.
Originally from Australia, Jordan loves to stay active by playing Australian Rules Football for Boston, taking his rescue dog hiking, and playing pickup basketball with his friends. He also loves visiting breweries in Rhode Island and playing golf.
