Orthopedic Residency Program

Grow forward with Highbar

Enhance Your Career With the Highbar Orthopedic Residency Program

The Highbar Orthopedic Residency is accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education as a post-professional residency program for physical therapists in orthopedics. Our residency students have a 100% pass rate on the OCS exam!

About the program

What is a physical therapy residency program?

An Orthopedic Residency consists of advanced post-professional education in the specialty area of orthopedic physical therapy. Residencies utilize a multi-modal teaching approach consisting of 1:1 mentorship, didactic and laboratory education, and clinical experiences.

Clinicians that participate in an orthopedic residency do so for enhanced clinical knowledge and skills in the examination and treatment of a variety of orthopedic conditions. There is also a significant increase in specialty examination pass rates for those who participate in residency versus those who self-study. Residents have access to the OCS prep course to ensure exam success.

“At Highbar, we believe in providing limitless professional development opportunities to clinicians as they grow throughout their career, whether they seek to grow into leaders as Clinic Directors or as clinical leaders, mentors, and experts. The development of our own Orthopedic Residency was a natural step to continue providing opportunities not only to residents but for our clinician-leaders as mentors and faculty.”
