Check Out the Clinic

Dr. Ethan Barker is a physical therapist at Highbar South Kingstown with a strong foundation in orthopedics, sports injuries, and spine care. Ethan believes in the power of movement to restore confidence, independence, and joy—especially when patients regain the everyday activities they once took for granted. That moment of return, he says, is what makes his work meaningful.

Ethan earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Springfield College, where he also minored in Spanish. During his time there, he contributed to research supporting older adults by serving as an instructor for Stay Active for Independent Living (SAIL) and Tai Ji Quan: Movement for Better Balance (TJQMBB)—two evidence-based programs evaluated for their effectiveness in reducing falls.

With Dry Needling Level I certification, Ethan blends manual therapy, strength-based training, and patient education to create personalized, practical treatment plans. He is passionate about helping people return to the routines, hobbies, and movements that shape daily life.

Outside the clinic, Ethan brings a spirit of exploration and adventure to everything he does. He played Ultimate Frisbee competitively throughout college, traveling to tournaments from Maine to Myrtle Beach. He’s an avid traveler, hiker, and weightlifter—and has already visited 10 national parks. He also enjoys sharpening his Spanish language skills and connecting with others through movement and community.
