Core-4 Series Labs
Build a stronger foundation in orthopedic clinical decision-making.
The Core-4 Series is a hands-on, case-based lab series designed for PT/PTA students, new graduates, and early-career clinicians. Each lab uses regional orthopedic cases to help participants practice assessment, treatment selection, manual therapy and exercise integration, reassessment, loading decisions, and next-step clinical reasoning.
Average 9.5/10 Participant Satisfaction Across All Core-4 Regions
High-Yield Clinical Reasoning in a Focused Format
Core-4 is a focused, four-hour lab designed to make foundational orthopedic reasoning more practical and clinically useful. The lab is not intended to cover every condition or technique within a region. Instead, participants work through regional cases, practice clinical decision-making, and learn how to connect findings to treatment choices and reassessment.
Every lab is built for immediate clinical carryover: participants practice how to think through a case, choose a starting point, apply an intervention, reassess response, and decide what should happen next.
Participants leave with:
- A more organized approach to orthopedic patient care
- Improved confidence making early treatment decisions
- A clearer way to connect exam findings to intervention choices
- Practice using reassessment to guide next steps
- A stronger foundation for future mentorship, residency, COMT, COPTA, weekend intensives, or specialist training
This is foundational training — delivered efficiently and applied immediately.
Program Outcomes:
- Early development of orthopedic clinical reasoning
- Improved confidence managing common regional presentations
- Better treatment sequencing and reassessment habits
- Hands-on practice with clinical decision-making in realistic cases
- A stronger foundation for advanced training pathways
Built Around Cases — Not Lectures
Every Core-4 lab centers on realistic regional orthopedic cases. The specific cases may change over time, but the learning process remains consistent: participants are introduced to a clinical problem, practice interpreting findings, choose an intervention, reassess response, and discuss next-step decision-making.
Core-4 blends structured instruction, live demonstration, guided hands-on practice, collaborative reasoning, and practical execution. Participants do not just learn what to do; they practice how to think through patient presentations with more clarity.
The result: learning that transfers directly into patient care.

Program Structure
Four Foundational Regional Labs
Core-4 labs are organized around four orthopedic regions:
- Lumbopelvic Core-4
- Cervicothoracic Core-4
- Upper Extremity Core-4
- Lower Extremity Core-4
Case-Based Learning Format
- Evidence-informed instruction
- Live demonstration
- Structured case walkthroughs
- Guided hands-on skill refinement
- Collaborative clinical reasoning discussion
Every session bridges concept → case → execution — within a streamlined format.
Lumbopelvic Core-4
A regional orthopedic lab focused on lumbopelvic clinical reasoning and patient management. Specific cases and treatment emphasis may vary by offering.
Cervicothoracic Core-4
A regional orthopedic lab focused on cervicothoracic and upper-quarter clinical reasoning. Specific cases and treatment emphasis may vary by offering.
Upper Extremity Core-4
A regional orthopedic lab focused on upper-extremity clinical reasoning and patient management. Specific cases and treatment emphasis may vary by offering.
Lower Extremity Core-4
A regional orthopedic lab focused on lower-extremity clinical reasoning and patient management. Specific cases and treatment emphasis may vary by offering.
Not Sure If Core-4 Is Right for You?
Core-4 is designed to build a strong orthopedic foundation without overwhelming your schedule.
If you’re unsure where it fits within your professional development pathway — or whether Core-4, Weekend Intensives, or 8-Week Courses are a better starting point — let’s have a
