Proven Outcomes. Unmatched Clinical Advancement.
The Highbar Orthopedic Residency is built for clinicians who refuse to practice at an average level.
This is not exam preparation. It is a rigorous, mentored immersion that elevates clinical reasoning, examination precision, and treatment decision-making to specialist standard. Graduates do not simply pass an exam — they emerge as leaders in clinical, managerial, and academic settings.
Program Outcomes:
- 20 Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists
- 100% Pass Rate on the OCS Examination
- 9.7/10 Average Rating for Transformational Impact on Clinical Practice
This program produces measurable excellence — not incremental improvement.
Accredited. Fully Integrated. Intentionally Designed.
- Rhode Island’s Only Orthopedic Residency
- Among the Few Programs Nationally Offering Full Salary
- Collaboration with Surrounding University Partners
- ABPTRFE Accredited Program

What Differentiates This Residency
Many residency programs operate in silos. Mentorship is outsourced or left for residents to coordinate. Didactic content is often purchased from third-party providers. Labs, lectures, and mentorship function independently.
Highbar’s Residency is fully integrated.
Didactic curriculum, immersive labs, live patient reasoning, and 1:1 mentorship are designed and delivered in-house. Educational threads intentionally connect every component, ensuring what is taught in lecture is reinforced in lab and refined in mentorship.
There is no disconnect between what residents learn and what mentors reinforce.
